About Homebuyers Reports
The Homebuyers' Survey is an essential aspect of purchasing any new home (most suited to conventional houses and flats in reasonable condition). Fully qualified RICS surveyors carry out a detailed inspection of a property and highlight any potential issues that will affect the decision to buy or not to buy.
The Homebuyers' Report will highlight any essential repairs that should be carried out immediately, as well as potential problems that may need attention in the near future.
This information can be used when agreeing a price for your new home. The surveyor will be able to provide you with estimates for any essential building works and suggest a realistic value for your new home, based on its current state.
The Homebuyers' Survey also gives you the confidence to purchase your home with the knowledge that if a surveyor has missed any property defects at the time of inspection, which in the future must be repaired, the surveyor can be held liable for these costs. In addition to highlighting any potential defects, the Homebuyers' Report also includes a Valuation and Insurance Re-Instatement calculation.
